Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio auctioning themselves off for charity

If Rose taking Jack to dinner was one of your favourite scenes in Titanic, prepare yourself because you've got the chance to live it in real life.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are auctioning off a private dinner with the two of them. One lucky fan who can afford it can bid on the one off event at this year's auction gala put on by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.

The rendezvous with the Titanic stars and real-life best friends will take place sometime in October or November, at a New York City restaurant of the winner's choosing, People magazine reports.

Proceeds from the gala and auction go to DiCaprio's foundation, which offers grants to environmental causes. The dinner itself will also benefit a GoFundMe campaign that Winslet supports, which is helping a young mother in the UK pay for her cancer treatment.

Last year, the charity auction raised a record US$45 million and featured guests such as Bono, Chris Rock, Mariah Carey, Tobey Maguire, Jonah Hill, Naomi Campbell, Bradley Cooper and Edward Norton.

Winslet and DiCaprio have been inspiring friendship goals ever since they starred in the 1997 blockbuster film.
