Everything you need to know for Rod Stewart's show in Dunedin

Here's what you need to know if you're heading to Sir Rod's show this Wednesday April 5!

One of the most-awaited shows of 2023 has finally arrived!

Sir Rod Stewart is kicking off his New Zealand tour with his first show at the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin this Wednesday, April 5.

And joining him are two special guests - Cyndi Lauper and Jon Stevens!

If you selected 'E-Tickets' when purchasing, then you'll need to show the tickets on your phone. 

If you selected 'Print-at-home',  you must preprint your tickets before arrival.

GETTING TO FORSYTH BARR STADIUM AND PARKING

Check the map HERE to get familiar with your gate. 

It takes 20 minutes to reach Forsyth Barr Stadium from the Octagon on foot. 

Park & Ride

There are three park and ride locations:

Victoria Road car park - St Kilda

Car park opens at 5.30 pm. Buses depart on a loop from 5.45 pm to 7pm 

Drop off: a 600 m walk from Wickliffe Street to the stadium

Pick up: after concert - return from 11pm

Peter Johnstone Park car park - Mosgiel

Buses depart 5.30 pm and 6pm

Drop off: a 600 m walk from Wickliffe Street to the stadium

Pick up: after concert - return from 11pm

Octagon Shuttle Bus - Outside Dunedin Public Art Gallery

Buses depart every 30 minutes from 6pm and 7pm. 

Drop off: corner of Harbour Terrace and Union Street

Pick up: after-concert - return from 11pm

Buses

There will be regular bus services from city centre to the Albany/Forth Street area.

Parking at the Stadium in the East End car park

These are only available for Forsyth Barr Stadium Members with permits.

However, there is free car parking near the corner of Fryatt Street to Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Mobility Parking locations:

East End car park: Seven mobility parks available for valid mobility parking permit holders

Logan Park Drive: Additional mobility parks are available

You can also drop off by the Stadium near Gate D. If you'd like a buggy transport to get you to your gate, you can just ask the closest security guard.

There are E-Scooter parkings available on Union Street East. 

FOOD AND DRINKS

Food and drinks cannot be brought into the stadium except for:

1. Bottles of water up to 1 litre, with unbroken seals

2. Homemade food - such as sandwiches, cakes and fruit

3. Special foods for dietary requirements

There will be food and drinks available to purchase inside the stadium.  

There are limited cash outlets available so cashless transactions are preferred to help minimise queues so you can spend more time time enjoying the concert and not miss any of the performances.

1. Any type of camera with a detached or extended lens regardless of size

2. Audio/visual recorders (excluding mobile phones)

3. iPad's tablets and GoPros

4. Glass - this includes perfume bottles

5. Signs and banners with a pole

6. Bags larger than the size of an A4 piece of paper (21cm x 29cm) 

7. Umbrellas

8. Strollers, Pram
