Kate Bush breaks three Guinness World records

Kate Bush is not only topping charts but she's also breaking Guinness World Records!

With the recent success of Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' (1985), the song has not only topped music charts all over the world but has also been breaking 'Guinness World records'.

In their recently released season 4, this song was played in one of the pivotal parts of the episode. It then instantly became popular among the new generation and is currently topping charts all over the world and now breaking world records. 

This iconic 80's song has now broken three Guiness World records.

  1. Longest time for a track to reach no.1 on the UK's Official Singles Chart: According to the Guinness World Records, the song took 36 years 310 days to reach no.1 on the UK's Official Singles Chart. 
  2. Oldest female artist to reach No.1 on the UK's Official Singles Chart: Kate's age was 63 years and 328 days old when the single climbed to number 1.  
  3. Longest gap between no.1s on the UK's Official Singles Chart: It took 44 years and 83 days for Kate to return to no.1. Her debut single 'Wuthering Heights' was no.1 in 1978. And now, 'Running Up That Hill' has climbed to number 1.

'Running Up That Hill' was first released in 1985 as the lead single of her fifth studio album Hounds of Love

After the recent resurgence of the song, Kate Bush told how the song being featured on Stranger things "has given the track "a whole new lease of life".
