The Pogue’s iconic Christmas hit ‘Fairytale of New York’ is a controversial Christmas song that seems to be either loved or hated by folks during the festive season.
And as it turns out, Robbie Williams was looking at teeing up a collaboration with Britney Spears for his latest Christmas album, The Christmas Present.
“I asked Britney Spears to duet with me on 'Fairytale of New York,'" he told The Sun.
“She said no. What a lovely story. She’s not working right now. She’s having a rest. Maybe it’ll happen in the future.”
While we are a little sad that this cover didn’t happen, sounds like it’s not completely ruled out for the future!
