Sir Elton John unleashed an expletive-ridden tirade against two security guards during his Perth concert on Sunday, after witnessing their attempt to eject a woman from the venue.

From the stage, the 72-year-old music icon called out the security guards for "aggressively accosting a fan" at his Farewell Yellow Brick Road show, according to another concertgoer.

"Hey, you two security guards with the girl... f**k off," John said.

"Let her up here immediately... come on you c***s."

The crowd cheered as the 'Bennie and the Jets' hitmaker continued to savagely berate the security.

"Morons. Both of you morons... you don't treat girls like that. Leave her alone, you turds."

The exchange has proved controversial on social media after footage of the incident was circulated on Twitter. While some fans have been quick to label John's actions as "legendary", others have found his caustic rant less chivalrous.
