A spin-off to hit 1978 movie musical Grease is set to hit the small screen!
US-based streaming service HBO are said to be developing a series called Rydell High - the name of the school Sandy, Danny Zuko and the rest of the Grease cast attended in the film.
While the show is rumoured to still take place in the 1950s, the TV series will feature more of a modern take on the story and will feature a mix of our old favourite characters as well as introduce us to a few new ones too.
"It’s still the 1950s, a world that rocks with big musical numbers from the period combined with new original songs as well," says a representative for HBO Max in a statement.
"It’s the peer pressures of high school, the horrors of puberty, and the rollercoaster of life in middle America with a modern sensibility that will bring it to life for today’s musical lovers."
The production is not the only Grease-inspired project in the works - apparently there is a prequel, titled Summer Lovin' which has also been given the greenlight.
Fingers crossed one of our Kiwi streaming services pick it up!
