Sir Rod Stewart has revealed he is "in the clear" after battling a very secret prostate cancer diagnosis.
During a performance Saturday at an event for the Prostate Project and European Tour Foundation in Surrey, the 74 year old singer let the audience in on his health struggle.
"Two years ago, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer," Stewart said. "No one knows this, but I thought this was about time I told everybody."
Stewart then gave an update on his condition, which fans will likely be relieved to know.
"I’m in the clear now, simply because... I caught it early," he said. "Guys, you’ve got to really go to the doctor."
Stewart recommended keeping an optimistic outlook while counting his own blessings.
"If you’re positive, and you work through it and you keep a smile on your face... I mean I’ve worked two years and just been happy," he said, "and the good Lord looked after me."
Sir Rod has battled thyroid cancer in the past where he feared he may never get his voice back.
