Hugh Jackman pays emotional tribute to Olivia Newton-John after cancer update

Hugh Jackman and a crowd of 15,000 made the special video for Olivia following her emotional 60 Minutes interview.

After Olivia Newton-John appeared on Australia's 60 Minutes, giving an emotional update on her cancer treatment, Hugh Jackman has paid special tribute to her on stage on his global tour.

Hugh Jackman, who is a fellow Aussie, sent a tribute video to the Grease actress from his 'The Man, The Music, The Show' gig in Sydney.

Along with a crowd of 15,000 people, Hugh recorded a short video clip.

Filming himself in front of the audience, Hugh said: "Hi Olivia, it's Hugh, with 15,000 of your friends and family."

"Listen, you are the most amazing person, the most amazing mum, the most amazing ambassador, singer and dancer. We just love you."

Olivia Newton-John has revealed she is keeping positive despite her ongoing battle with stage four breast cancer. She has also revealed that she has no idea how long she has left on this Earth.

“I'm so lucky that I've been through this three times and I'm still here. I'm living with it,” she said in the interview. “Every day is a gift now, particularly now.”

The Grease star was first treated for the well-known disease in 1992. After discovering a lump in her right breast, she underwent a partial mastectomy and six months of treatment, including herbal formulas, meditation and focus on her diet and fitness, before getting the all clear.

But in 2013, it was discovered that she had cancer in her shoulder after being involved in a minor car accident.

Olivia revealed that to beat the new bout of cancer, she decided to treat it with ‘modern’ medicines and natural remedies, as well as cutting out sugar completely and taking cannabis oil for the pain.
