George Thorogood will not be performing at Summer Concert Tour

George Thorogood & The Destroyers will no longer be performing at The Summer Concert Tour in January 2018.

In a statement from George Thorogood & The Destroyers management, “Due to a family illness, George Thorogood and The Destroyers will be unable to perform at the upcoming Summer Concert Tour.  The Summer Concert Tour will proceed as planned.  We sincerely appreciate the support of our loyal fans during this difficult time.”

Greenstone Entertainment CEO, Amanda Calvert says “We send our best wishes to George Thorogood & The Destroyers and family at this time and completely understand that family must come first. We’d like to reassure our fans that the Summer Concert Tour will go ahead as planned featuring Colin Hay of Men At Work fame and Alanis Morissette.”

Greenstone Entertainment have confirmed two new artists will be joining next year's line-up.

Taking the place of George Thorogood & The Destroyers will be The Orchestra starring former members of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).

Nashville-based band, Fairground Saints, are also set to join the three shows in Queenstown, Taupo and Whitianga next year.
