Director Emma Freud tweeted pictures from set on Sunday (local time), as the original cast gathered for the Red Nose Day reboot.
Fans of the 2003 Christmas film are eagerly awaiting the reboot, featuring much of the original cast.
While Emma Thompson has decided not to return in the wake of her friend Alan Rickman's death last year, the short film will see most stars return including Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke and Rowan Atkinson.
Grant will reprise his role as the loveable British Prime Minister, with Freud confirming the couple is still together.
