19-year-old gymnast Simone Bile is all the talk at the moment due to her incredible dedication and agility.
The sportswoman experienced a calf injury during a double layout full out during practice - however her coach suggested this injury would help her perform a successful half twist out due to a front-facing landing protecting her calf.
“And she said, ‘No one has ever done that skill before so it could potentially be named after you if you ever went to a world competition and did it,’” Biles told Fox Sports of her coach, Aimee Boorman. “It’s kind of weird, because every time I do it I say, ‘Oh, I’m going to do a double lay half out,’ I never say, ‘oh, I’m going to go do the Biles,’” she said in an interview with USA Gymnastics.
Bile has already won more gold medals in the history of world gymnastics, so she is truly one to keep an eye on this season.
