Sausage Pie Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 sheets defrosted flaky pastry
- 1 grated potato
- 500gms Sausage meat
- 1 diced onion
- 1 grated carrot
- 1 grated apple or 1/2 cup crushed pineapple
- 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce

- 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
METHOD:
- Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius
- Join the pastry sheets and cut to line the base and sides of your prepared tin
- Mix the sausage meat, potato, carrot, apple, breadcrumbs,egg, tomato sauce together
- Put the mix into the pastry and smooth it over
- Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top
- Any pastry off cuts? I like to decorate the top with a fun shape
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes until filling cooked and the topping is golden
