Horowhenua District Council supported by MidCentral Health are proud to once again host the Age On The Go Expo – an expo promoting positive ageing by showcasing activities and services focusing on good health, fun and support for older people in Horowhenua.

LIT BIKE RIDE

The Rangiwahia Environmental Arts Centre Trust are looking for people to join in their Glow In The Dark Bike Ride over He Ara Kotahi.

They’re hosting a series of free workshops for community participants to come and design and build their own creation to be lit for display on the ride.

It’s an all ages and all wheel affair so skateboards, scooters, wheelchairs, Bikes, Wheelbarrows and buggies are all welcome.

If you’re part of a community group yourself, they’re keen to collaborate with you to create a larger performance - so get in touch!

TARARUA COLLEGE COMMUNITY DUATHLON

Their annual community duathlon is coming up, and is open to the whole community, from a wide variety of ages, from pre-schoolers through to adults. Their aim is to promote physical activity within the community.  Plus, there are lots of spot prizes to be won!

BUNNYTHORPE SCHOOL PET AND GALA DAY

Bunnythorpe School are hosting their Pet and Gala Day! There’ll be lots of raffles and activities, as well as general pet judging. This is a new initiative run by the Massey Vet School in collaboration with the SPCA, which is run by veterinary students and veterinarians. Discounted cat desexing and microchipping for those who hold a community services card or a gold card. You can register for the service at masseyspcadesexing.org.

FEILDING UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB 50th ANNIVERSARY

For the three days over Labour Weekend, Feilding United will be celebrating their 50th anniversary. On Friday there’s a meet and greet at Timona Park Clubrooms, on saturday there’s dinner and a show at Johnston Park, and on Sunday there’s a farewell brUnch at Timona Park. MARATHON IN A MONTH

PALMERSTON NORTH WALK TO DEFEAT MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE
