Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will reportedly no longer be able to use the Sussex Royal label that is currently the branding for their Instagram page and new website.
According to the Daily Mail, the Queen has made the call that it's "no longer tenable" for the pair to use the word 'royal' after their decision to step back from their positions as senior members of the royal family.
Harry and Meghan allegedly spent tens of thousands of pounds on their refurbished Sussex Royal website that launched at the time of their bombshell decision. The Daily Mail claims the Duke and Duchess were seeking to trademark the brand for "clothing, stationery, books and teaching materials".
Meanwhile, the duo have reportedly already taken steps to set up a new charity using the Sussex Royal name, which was due to be launched this year with Buckingham Palace's support.
The Queen's response to 'Megxit' early this year stated that while she supported Harry and Meghan, there were "complex matters for the family to resolve".
The latest development comes after the Duke and Duchess were stripped of their 'Her/His Royal Highness' titles and were forced to abandon their official patronages - including Harry's military associations.
For his part, Harry said it brought him "great sadness" that it had "come to this" in his emotional speech on the subject last month.
