Meghan Markle opens up about struggles with royal life in the public eye

It's the first time we have seen Meghan speak out about her public life.

It's no secret that since becoming a royal, Meghan Markle has had to make some pretty big life changes.

When things started getting official with Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex was forced to shutdown her social media accounts, including her popular lifestyle blog, as well as an array of things.

It's also no secret that since becoming a royal, Meghan Markle has tried to bend the rules of royal protocol, opting to try and make her life as private as can be.

For the first time, Meghan Markle has given us insight into how she feels about being in the royal family and more specifically, how she is handling the extra media attention.

While attending the London premiere of The Lion King, with the Duke of Sussex, Meghan met US rapper and music producer Pharrell Williams who she exchanged a conversation with.

"So happy for your union. Love is amazing. It's wonderful," Pharrell said.

"Don't ever take that for granted but what it means in today's climate, I just wanted to tell you it's so significant for so many of us. Seriously. We cheer you guys on," he continued.

Touching his arm in a warm gesture, Meghan can be heard saying "Thank you, they don't make it easy," hinting that life in the royal family may not be as easy as it seems.

The honest admission comes just weeks after she and husband, Harry held a private christening for baby Archie and refused to announce who they had chosen as his godparents.
