Sam Heaven shows us his chicken plating technique

Ali got to catch up with SkyCity Apprentice chef, Sam Heaven who was also the winner of the NSSCC winner for 2016.

Sam gave Ali a lesson on making delicious salted caramel popcorn and also showed her how to plate the perfect dessert.

He also showed us how he would serve a typical dish in the restaurant, using chicken as the main ingredient.

It's hard to believe he's only 19 years old with that much talent.
