Miley Cyrus has delivered a chilling tribute to the victims of the Las Vegas concert massacre, performing her song 'The Climb' for the first time in six years.

The 'Wrecking Ball' singer launched her week-long residency on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon a day after the mass shooting, which claimed the lives of 59 people and injured over 500 more.

Cyrus opted not to promote one of her new tracks from an upcoming album, but rather her 2009 hit about overcoming adversity.

"[Jimmy Fallon] and I dedicated this show to not only mourning this horrific event but using this platform to encourage unity, peace and hopefulness," she wrote on Instagram.

"So we started this week off with a song I haven't performed in years - 'The Climb'. These words mean more now to me than ever. Keep the faith... sending love to all."

She also performed Dido's 'No Freedom' on the show, with help from The Ridiculous 6and Jack and Jill star Adam Sandler.
