Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisely have been announced as hosts of the Country Music Awards
With just over three weeks until the historic 50th Annual CMA Awards telecast, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are busy prepping as hosts of the live gala.
As expected, both will step into the solo spotlight to perform during the show. Fellow nominees Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Maren Morris and Keith Urban are also set to perform.
Keith Urban has been a nominee every year since 2004, and with the success of his nominated LP Ripcord and its accompanying world tour, the 2005 Entertainer of the Year is up for the top honor again, as well as Male Vocalist and Musical Event of the Year for "The Fighter," featuring Underwood, who is herself a first-time nominee for Entertainer of the Year. Additionally, the three-time Female Vocalist winner is up for that honor again as well as Album (Storyteller) and Musical Event.
To date, Paisley has earned 14 CMA Awards since 2000, including Entertainer (2010), Male Vocalist (2007, 2008, 2009) and Album of the Year (2006), placing him third on the list of top CMA award nominees of all-time.
More performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks. The 50th Annual CMA Awards air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, Wednesday, November 2nd at 8:00 p.m. ET, on ABC.
