Jamie Oliver proves McDonald’s burgers are ‘unfit for human consumption’
Jamie Oliver has finally won his long-fought battle against one of the largest fast food giants in the world, McDonalds.
After Oliver exposed how McDonald's burgers are made, the franchise finally released a statement saying that it will change its recipe.
The world renowned chef had repeatedly tried to get his message across to the public over several years - in documentaries, TV shows and interviews.
He had discovered that the fatty parts of beef are "washed" in ammonium hydroxide and then used in the filling of the burger, this process has now been deemed as unfit for human consumption.
"Basically, we're taking a product that would be sold in the cheapest way for dogs, and after this process, is being given to human beings."
Besides the low quality of the meat, the ammonium hydroxide is extremely harmful to our health. Oliver has famously coined it as "the pink slime process."
"Why would any sensible human being put mean filled with ammonia in the mouths of their children?" Oliver asked.
