Gordon Ramsay shares a game-changing trick to nailing 'perfectly yolky' soft-boiled eggs

Gordon's winning moment comes as he slices into the egg!

Boiled eggs. Achieving the perfect soft-boiled result can be a bit like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded. It's tricky, it's frustrating, and let's face it, it often leaves you disappointed.

But fear not, my fellow egg enthusiasts, because Gordon Ramsay has come to our rescue with a game-changing trick for you to perfect those delectable soft-boiled eggs.

In a recent TikTok video, the legendary Hell's Kitchen chef shared his foolproof technique that has now taken the internet by storm.

In the clip Gordon explains: "Get a little spoon and dunk [the eggs] into that [boiling] water, and please time six minutes."

"Don't boil them ferociously, they'll get that black line around the outside. Boil them gently," he continued.

Once the six minutes are up, Gordon delicately places the eggs in a bowl of cold water, revealing his secret weapon. He cracks the egg at the base, blows into it (yes, you read that right), and submerges it back into the water. And just like that, the egg practically sheds its shell like a snake shedding its skin.

With a few taps and gentle pulls, the shell slips off effortlessly, revealing a soft-boiled wonder with a slightly runny, yolky centre. Gordon's winning moment comes as he slices into the egg, showcasing the creamy goodness that tops off his mouthwatering ramen recipe.
