This is the opening to the CMT music awards on Country Music Television this week.   It features a take off of the movie Thelma and Louise featuring   Shania Twain and Taylor Swift.  They must have a big budget.  Shame to waste a classic car at the end.

Shania Twain one of the presenters at the CMT Country Music Awards took a tumble on the way onto the stage.
All caught on camera and in true spirit she is thinking of auctioning the shoes on e-bay.

Here is the video of " Life Is a Highway" a song written by Canadian Tom Cochrane, and was his only hit 20 years ago. The song was Cochrane's most famous song. The song was famously covered by Rascal Flatts for the Cars movie.

What an amazing turn of events leading to the demise of Osama Bin Laden. To remind us of the reasoning behind his death here's country star Alan Jackson's 'Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning?' He wrote the song a few months after September 2001 and performed it here a week later at the American Country Awards.

Old Crowe Medicine Show is an old time string band based in Nashville. Some of the members have been together since they were 12 years old. Their music is a combination of bluegrass, Americana and old time. Their singer is Ketch Secor and this song was a very old and obscure Bob Dylan song that the band has been playing for years. It was out take of Dylans so The Old Crowe band have recorded and have entered a co-writing arrangement with Dylan over the song called Wagon Wheel.
