Movie Review of Get Him To The Greek

'Get Him To The Greek' | Movie Review

Get Him to the Greek

The last time we saw Aaron he was working at a Hawaiian resort and fawning over Rock Star Aldous Snow in the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

In this spin-off feature film we find nice guy Aaron (played by Jonah Hill) is now a lowly record company intern. During a staff meeting with record company exec Sergio (played fabulously by Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs), Aaron lands the task of getting rocker Aldous Snow to L.A.’s Greek Theatre for his huge comeback gig.

Should be easy enough – he’s got 72 hours to fly to London and bring Aldous back.

But Sergio has one piece of advice for young Aaron - “The artist is the worst person on Earth. Turn your back on him at your own peril.”

Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) is now a complete 180 degrees from his former sober, yoga health loving, family man days. Deep into a career crisis after a terrible album, suffering from a broken marriage, the ‘wagon’ he fell off is a dot on the horizon and is back abusing any and all substances.

Getting him out of his apartment, let alone out of London will be tricky.

Keep your eyes peeled for A to D list famous faces – there are cameos galore in this movie.

If you enjoyed the humour of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 40 Year Old Virgin and Superbad, then you’ll get plenty of giggles from Get Him to The Greek.

Starring: Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Rose Byrne, Kali Hawk, Aziz Ansari, Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera

Directed by Nicholas Stoller ('Forgetting Sarah Marshall')

Comedy. Rated (R16) - Contains Drug Use, Sex Scenes & Offensive language
