Living in New Zealand we know an earthquake can strike at any time, so it’s vital everyone, everywhere should know the right action to take before, during and after an earthquake.
New Zealand ShakeOut is a national earthquake drill taking place at 9.15am on the 15th of October 2015. It’s a chance for everyone around New Zealand to practise the right action to take during an earthquake – Drop, Cover and Hold.
ShakeOut - it’s as easy as 1,2,3...
1. Sign up to take part at www.shakeout.govt.nz. It only takes two minutes, you can sign up the whole organisation in one registration. The website will have lots of tips and information for doing the drill and being prepared.
