A thank you to emergency services for firefighting efforts in Christchurch
Residents thank emergency service teams for their work over the last few days, since the Port Hills fires broke out.
The fires in the Port Hills near Christchurch have torn apart a once iconic landscape.
In just a matter of days, thousands of hectares have been destroyed taking with it, vegetation, cars, sheds, animals, houses and even a life.
Emergency services have worked day and night to fight these fires.
And while there is still plenty of work to do, the community has only one thing to say: Thank you.
